Prayer Plants Online Shop
Calathea, Ctenathe, Maranta, Stromantha are often referred together as Prayer plants due to its bright coloured leaves observing a day rhythm and rolling up in the evening and unfurling in the morning.
While many people struggle with keeping their Prayer plants healthy and looking good, the secret is easy: no direct sun light, constantly moist and well aerated growing media, and high humidity. Don’t place it in the south facing window. Make your own soil mix of 1 part bark for orchids, 1 part planting soil, ½ part moss and ½ part perlite. Water when the top layer gets slightly dry, remove the excess water from the pot tray. Preferably use rainwater or let your tap water stand in an open container for a few hours to dechlorinate it. Don’t put your Prayer plants in a draft and preferably use a humidifier or at least mist it once a day.
