Unlike most other Calathea, which are low growing, Calathea lutea is a stanning large plant growing from 1.5 up to 4m (5-12′). If you’re planning to place this indoors, make sure you have plenty of space available. Still, Calathea lutea is an easy to grow plant. Water it when the topsoil feels dry to the touch, but make sure the excess water is well drained. Do not let the soil get completely dry. When growing indoors try to find the brightest spot.
We ship these plants cut back to the rhizomes. We carefully remove the soil and wrap the roots in humid sterile coconut peat. Then we gently pack the rootball in a plastic bag. After that, we wrap the plant in paper and then in a strong cardboard box.
